Veterans/Remembrance Day: Honor our Military Veterans

"Celebrate the end of the war; Honor our Military Veterans"

Veterans Day is an American holiday to honor our military veterans. Its celebration falls on the 11th day of November. It was also known as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other countries. It was the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice, the effective end of a war which ended the First World War.

The celebration of the Armistice Day was recognized by a proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson of United States in 1919.

"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…"

And to honor and thank our military veterans for their service to the country, Warplanes.com featured model aircrafts in relation with the celebration of Veterans Day.
